Shirobako, the anime about the anime industry as previously reported, will continue in the form of feature films which will be released in Japanese theaters in the spring of 2020. Now the latest trailer has been released, where in this latest trailer revealed that this widescreen movie will set 4 years after the story in the anime series. In addition it was also announced that the film will be released in Japan on the 29th February 2020.


The 34-second promo gives a brief flyby of the main cast members, who seem to have finally found their niches in the adult world.

Shirobako is an anime series produced by the P.A Works studio. Set around the anime industry kitchen, this series is Aoi Miyamori, Ema Yasuhara, Shizuka Sakaki, Misa Todo, and Midori Imai who have been friends since high school. The five of them formed an anime club during high school. A few years later, they have jumped into the anime industry by focusing on their respective fields and dealing with the twists and turns of the anime industry which are sometimes not as beautiful as they had imagined.The presence of this anime sequel was announced by studio CEO P.A Works who also produced this anime, Kenji Horikawa, in 2016.

The SHIROBAKO film will be released in Japan on February 29, 2020.
